Wow.. memtest86+ does not work with UEFI? That is bad but thanks for the info.

But removing memtest86+ from the UEFI-boot-menu if it doesn't work seems like a
good idea.

Let's see if this ever gets fixed. Thanks for your help.

(I attached the video capture file ("grml.webm") again. I hope it works this time.)

The problem is that memtest86+ (the one we're using behind the memtest boot
option) can't boot from UEFI (also see
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=651562#10). So I'm afraid we
can't really do anything about it. Maybe we should add "BIOS-mode only" or so to
the affected boot options in grub to clarify that?

The:

| error: file '/boot/grub/x86_64-efi/vbe.mod' not found.

is strange though.

PS: Either the video capture file was forgotten to be attached or stripped of by
the BTS. :)

Hi!

When booting grml64-full_2014.11 in (U)EFI mode memtest+ fails to boot.

I've just tested booting the ISO in a Virtualbox VM (where EFI is enabled in
Settings -> System -> Extended Features) where the following error is shown
(after selecting memtest+ in Addons):

error: null src bitmap in grub_video_bitmap_create_scaled.

I am not sure if there is any connection but there is also another error right
before the grub boot menu is shown:

  error: file '/boot/grub/x86_64-efi/vbe.mod' not found.

I've attached a video capture file.
